The Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute currently has a poll on its homepage about the impact of repealing DADT. We are currently losing, but the numbers are still small at this point and can easily be turned around. Will be at the Orlando event on Sep 16th. Funny thing - I was just at the Plaza Theatre in Orlando for a Hot Tuna concert 1 week ago and amidst all the promotional materials in the lobby I did not see anything about this event. Found out about it tonight from HRC posting on Facebook. Have put the word out to others in Orlando.

thank you 2 every serviceperson who has defended me & our country. we are indebted to you forever. God bless you. i pray that our government provides the proper socia & medical services, etc. for which you are so entitled.
Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that even though the poll results for Rep Tauscher's move against DADT are great, the comment sectionfor the article is PACKED with "what'll they do to me in the shower" and "It's an abominayshun huh huh huh" comments...I love it when Leviticus rears it's head. I figure the more people that verbally jump-kick the knuckleheads on this board the better. I'm on as "SIGINTweenie," (which probably won't endear me to most of the readers...oh well)
Probably nothing this year. It's still to soon to say absolutely, but it's looking like 2010 at the earliest, unless it's snuck into the defense appropriations bill.
So with the new Administration finally in power (but confronting a major financial crisis), any thoughts on what's going to be happening with DADT in the upcoming year?
