I have had T2 since March 2009. No other person in my family has this so it wasnt heredetery. My first A1C was 11.3 my latest was 6.7. With Metformin and insulin and diet I am doing much better. I still hate it. I just bought a bracelet and it cost me over $50 just to get a basic one. I have no insurance so it is a very expensive disease that I cannot control without not paying something else. There ought to be a way to cure this or make it cheaper on us uninsured.
If you are a woman with diabetes or you know a woman with diabetes, please help usget the word out about this phenomenal event!

Ive had T1 for 15.5 years (I'm the one to the left in this pic). Ive been blessed to be in good health, with great insurance and not have any diabetic complications. Yes, this can be debilitating, but awareness (especially for T1 because most dont know the difference between T2) is becoming more and more necessary.
