Silent killer ! I don't know for how many month I had diabetes. the symptoms are not noticeable to the average busy single mom. or person> especially if you have other health issues a that has the similar symptoms.
Needless to say i was im emergency room for extremely painful headache which i thought it was my blood pressure and turned out to be something else.,, My sugar levels to high! three hundred and something going on 400!!
the nurse sounded like she was talking another language!! cause I didn't have a clue what she was talking about!
That was 10 years ago. eventually with the right diet and education on diabetes I have been able to cope.
Although it has been a challenge and still is, living with diabetes. I feel blessed : ) and i am happy with my life : )
I just found out that the blood test I took in June 2010 were in. I got my copy, but didn't read it I didn't make the time. I went to the doctor's yesterday. They had been trying to reach me. I moved and did not update my home phone. Well now I have a few things to work on. one is My blood sugar levels, which are very high. I was given my Freestyle Freedom Lite B.G. monitoring system. I started a meal plan on Tues. when I sign up for at a local gym. not knowing that this will be a life long process. One Day At A time....... worried!
