About this Petition:
The Obama administration has resisted full accountability for torture, and has endorsed indefinite detention and unfair military commissions. The U.S. government is required by law to end human rights violations and ensure accountability for them. Human rights violations are immoral, illegal and — according to military and intelligence experts — ineffective and counterproductive. There is an alternative: call on President Obama and Congress to respect human rights, follow the law and counter terror with justice.

I'm betting that I can safely say that NONE of you have ever been in the military, or had a family memb er that was active duty, or had a loved one DIE IN A TERRORIST ATTACK. F*#$ international law ------ we, as theUnited States of America have EVERY RIGHT to DEFEND ourselves and it's just not as easy to prove terrorist activity ties as it is to get slapped with a fine in traffic court! None of you even know what the GENEVA CONVENTIONS ARE.... Do you seriously think that if we are nice to all those bastards that ABSOLUTELY HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT US, they will change???????? Emergency!!! The Washington Post is reporting that President Obama is drafting an executive order authorizing indefinite detention. Please blitz the White House comment email (link below) saying: I am completely opposed to President Obama's endorsement of indefinite detention without charge. It is immoral, illegal and counterproductive. All detainees should either be charged and fairly tried, or be released.
