My message to Jessie for Mother's Day approaching (May 10, 2009):
My beautiful Jessie, my daughter I miss so much. Mother's Day 2009 will be here soon, another Mother's Day without you. Mother's Day is one of those days that I have a bittersweet feeling about. I love being a Mother, it is my most favourite thing I do and the best thing in my life are my kids and celebrating it is very special to me, but with you not here, and me not knowing where you are, I just feel wrong about celebrating. Not just this day, but most celebrations seem wrong - how can I celebrate anything without you or at least knowing where you are. I feel as if I am going through the motions, but it is not the same without all my children and now all my grandchildren with me. I can't celebrate with all my being, with all my heart - but for the sake of Crystal, Katie (& Jake & baby Jacobus) and Jennee (& Catlin & little Maddison) I do try. For you all, I celebrate being a mother. Jessie, being your mother is something that I am very proud of and I hope that I have been as good at being your mother as you are at being my daughter. Baby girl, I miss you and I need you back so much. We all do. Your tiny little body and huge heart & soul have left a hole the size of the universe in our lives, and nothing but you will fill it.
Love your Mama xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox.
I got an email from an Albuquerque, New Mexico police detective responding to my email to her about the woman that they said was reported missing in 2006 and identified as one of the victims. She said that they believe the victims are local women to their area, as you can see from her message, I pasted it below. So, I am a touch more at ease, but still...not looking forward to tomorrow if these numbers keep rising.

Ms Grant, I received your email regarding your Jessie. I believe your question is in regards to the female prostitute the pimp was found putting in the trunk of his car. That female was positively identified in 2006 at the time of the incident. The list of reported missing girl mentioned in the article are all local to the Albuquerque area. The remains we are currently finding will be identified using the DNA of family members in the national data base, Which it sounds like you are already a part of. If the leads in our investigation take us down a path leading out of state, we have your contact information and we will notify you. I wish you success in your continued search. Sally Dyer, APD Detective.
Hope you Find him, I first Heard about it when he orginally went missing, so sad that this happens to family and friends, my prayers anre with you on a safe return home.
Geraldo at Large did a story on Jessie's disappearance only a few weeks after she went missing - this was aired April 24, 2006 - http://video.google.ca/videoplay?doci...

NOTE: at the 3 minute & 47 second mark of the video is the segment from the Maury Povich show where they mentioned Jessie's case and showed her picture. That show was originally aired on October 11, 2006. PLUS: Jessie's case was also shown on the Montel Williams show 2 times, 1 was aired on May 24, 2007 (filmed at the studio) and 1 was aired July 8, 2008 (filmed at our home in Kamloops, BC Canada)

Right after the Maury part is a video made for us in 2006 by MBW. This link is to one of the other videos MBW also made: http://video.google.com/videoplay?doc...
i had a dream bout dylan last night...i dreamt that we found him afta we painted his face on a mural.......it hit me pretty hard when i woke up...jus wanted to share the idea...u neva know!!! XO DYLAN!
This is just the start, but here are some companies and sites I've found that might be a help...These companies donate to the Canadian Search Dog Association, which trains and lends extra search dogs to the authorities free of charge:Petro-Canada, Telus, Water Pure and Simple, RCMP Veteran's Association...if they donate for search dogs there is at least a chance they will donate for billboards.
There is a parent company called Emcor that has smaller companies in Canada the US and the UK which will post missing persons posters on their company vehicles...the article I found on it was from the UK, but if they have companies here they may be willing to do it here as well...if you go to the Emcor website there is a list of all of the companies who are a part of the Emcor group.
www.canadianfundraiser.com is a site intended for managers of non-profit organizations, but it has many good fundraising ideas on it.
So far that is all I've found but I intend to keep looking and will post more as I find it.
I'm putting together a list of Sask and Alberta companies with a history of helping missing persons causes...if anyone has some ideas please pass them on...I'm going to start posting those companies in a day or two and it would be nice to see these companies get letters from as many people as possible...be humble, be courteous and be professional...have someone else proofread your letter to make sure those qualities are present in your writing...it would also make sense to talk to other billboard companies and see if they'd be willing to match the free month the Koshman's have now...the more organized any attempt like this becomes the more a well organized company will take notice...if you have a target company you'd like to send a letter to do a bit of research on them and speak to them in a language that speaks to what motivates them...also, is there anyone who is in a position to and would be willing to offer free advertising space to a company who helps foot the bill to keep Dylan's billboards up? That's all I got for now....
Praying that Dylan is safe and well.
We (Forever Searching) have had a discounted offer from a Canadian Billboard company, but they still cost quite a bit. We're endeavouring to raise some sponsorship in the business community. The idea is that we'd try get the really big boards up, they're 10 foot by 20 foot, and all our missing cases in whatever region they went up in, would be on them.
If anyone has any idea's or works for a company that may be interested in sponsoring, please drop me a line and I'll call / write to them.
Karen
I drive past one of those billboards every day on my way to NAIT.
that was a good spot to put it because theres SO many people on that
road everyday.
It would be awseome to do some fundraising to keep them up for longer!
Good idea!
