Hi Folks. I am trying to find someone to come out and assist me to run a remote Aboriginal Community Office in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands. If you have never worked on a remote Aboriginal Community and you have always thought you would like to see what it is like then this is your opportunity. If you are interested or you think you know someone else who might be interested then I would really appreciate it if you could get in contact with me via my facebook page. The person who comes out will have all travel costs covered and they would receive a wage as well whilst they are here. They would need to share a house with me as we have no spare housing. Thanks.
I need to rephrase the comment below....'when there is risk'...sometimes...there are no warning signs,..and your children are snatched from you...it is done in a manner that breaches all human civil rights...where no warning is given...and no intervention or support is offered first.......
I would like to see the indigenous community form a new organization that can help children stay with their mothers/family or community network..when they are at risk of being removed....I believe that support and intervention is far greater significance than family services just coming in and taking them away.....I am willing to do my bit to work with anyone who is interested or has had dealings with this issue...........lets break this stolen generation cycle once and for all....
ALL for it but ? As Michaela Battersby comments below a few down why is it everytime we sheeple join a cuase and ask or donate $$$ it goes into the US of A! Only a few months ago I joined another cause Against Child Abuse only to learn from a knowledeable friend it was NOT for Australian kids but for USA instead.
ENOUGH Facebook with misleading causes - STATE directly the countries and cause involved and verifiy in an absolute confirmation just exactly to whom from and sent to is fellow facebooker's cash or credit-card donations going to. BE ACCOUNTABLE or desist with money scams. IF I am wrong and inaccurate I truly apologise but this is NOT the 1st-time people are being duped.

An amazing statistic to look into is, 'how many non-indigenous people are in the NT workforce living a comfortable and wealthy lifestyle off Indigenous peoples' poor lifestyle and standard of living'...it'd be interesting to see the Indigenous stats too.... I know you'll find these statistics are shocking when weighed against the delivery of needs to the Indigenous population... that they would've assured of providing this service of delivery and assistance, when they applied or was given their job/s, in the first place. WE NEED to ask the question....."Do Non-Indigenous people want Indigenous people to live a better life?" Non-Indigenous People would be out of a job if we did live an autonomous, healthy and financially sustainable lifestyle......think about this???????? I must be fair and say..."not all Non-Indigenous people, living and working within the NT, are like this. I know of alot of Non-Indigenous people who are good at what they provide to Indigenous people......BUT, a mentorship approach is what is needed to train, support and assist Indigenous people into these supervisory and managerial postions though....this is a certainty. I just thought I'd have my say.....Cheers.

The Federal Government need to know the inadequacies in the system causing additional stressors already placed on those requiring Federal assistance.
