This Is ME

This Is ME provides a supportive, creative, and open environment where girls can reflect upon and discuss their achievements and challenges as they grow as women.

Based on the northwest side of Chicago, This Is ME has served more than 660 girls since our first program at the Irving Park YMCA in January 2000. We have since partnered with a number of schools and organizations to deliver a variety of programs ranging from unique workshops, weekly after-school programs, homework help assistance, a monthly drop-in program, and an improv theater ensemble.

Our current sites include Reinberg School, the Logan Square Library, Our Lady of Grace School, and Saint Andrew School.

1. Provide enriching opportunities to help girls grow in self-awareness and adopt positive values

2. Offer girls activities that foster their drive to achieve and persist and to gain resilience and a sense of accomplishment
