charity: water is a quickly growing grass-roots initiative based in New York City that began work in August 2006. In 3 years, with the support of more than 60,000 donors, we have raised more than $13 million and funded over 2,400 water projects in 16 countries. Those projects will serve more than one million people with clean drinking water.
