Hi im the mum of a 6 year old boy with high functioning autism, i am also a huge believer that animals are very important for a human beings well being.

I was part of the Righteous Pups team back in 03-04 and I just wanted to say that I'm thrilled to see they are still going strong. I have always wondered how Bear went with the rest of his training, I grew extremely attached and it was very hard when I moved to QLD.

i was just wondering how you go about getting one of these dogs for your family, DS 3.5 years is diagnosed and would really benifiot from one of these dogs as our loyal family dog of 12 years just recently passed last year and he misses him terribly, they were best friends and now he needs a new best friend tyo play with

Amanda i am sooo excited to hear that you have an AAD!! I can not wait for ours i wil msg you privatly so we can chat about the dog i get a few negative comments about the cost of the dog and non-dog people who say things like so how will a dog help and stuff like that which obviously makes me defensive cant these people see that anything that makes our lives easier is to be grabbed with both arms!! ph whats the dogs name?

Yes we do have an amazing AAD who we adore to bits. He is a major star in our lives and definately one of the family.
We are a very lucky family :)
So Amanda does that mean you have an AAD??? I am just champing at the bit to meet another mum of a recipiant of one of these hero pups!!

Hi Amanda... news on Mitch isnt all that great at the moment :( a trip to hospital last week and escalating behaviour issues i am at the end of my teether! Nevermind there is always tomorrow to try again! I heard from Jo and I was excited to know that her and the training manager are talking about Mitchs dog tomorrow!!
We are having a massive YARD sale on 31st JAN to raise money as well as a poker night coming up and a chocolate sale! Then there will be a dinner cruise and that will hopefully round out our fundraising! I cant wait for the dog i think it will make a massive massive impact on his life and in turn ours. When we were first dianosed i went online to look at a pets as therapy dog, and found RPA which is such a better alternative, i cant say thank you enough for having the vision to train these dogs for our spectrum children x
