Amazon Community Animal Rescue has made significant changes to overall health and living conditions in the remote Amazon Region of Peru. Compassion towards animals has far reaching effects on the entire community. It raises awareness about domestic violence, pet ownership responsibilty, an animal's abiliy to heal & assist the disabled. We work to prevent animal neglect, cruelty, abandonment & overpopulation (thus preventing inhumane mass killings of strays). We fight many battles, & continue to fight for a more enlightened community that survives in spite of conditions far below third-world standards. Many animal activists took notice of our fast response and organizational role to aid animals following the 8.2 Richter Earthquake & resulting Tsunami in late 2007. We ask you to please donate and/or recruit your friends to this page. View our photos to see how we have changed lives and saved animals!
The International Humanities Center is a Fiscal Sponsor for many small and international charities that can not afford a US office. They handle taxes, accounting, etc. for a small administrative fee. Please do not be confused when donating to Amazon CARES and the donation page says IHC. You will receive an email receipt for tax purposes and you can request a letter receipt if desired.
