I agree with Roko. Transhumanism is an international, intellectual and cultural movement supporting the use of new sciences and technologies to enhance life, including mental and physical abilities and aptitudes, and ameliorate what we regard as undesirable and unnecessary aspects of the human condition, such as stupidity, suffering, disease, aging and involuntary death.
We should take good precautions to not involve this scientific movement with any vague new-age spirituality. Let us not give the general public reasons to believe this is some cultish-mambo-jambo.
We're talking here about valuing life. About aiming at new evolutionary achievements.
The core goal of Transhumanism is about preserving life. This is why I believe if we will have a cause, let us aim it at donating towards preserving life. There is no other project more worth donating to, than that led by Aubrey De Grey, the Methuselah Foundation ( www.methuselahfoundation.org ) and SENS Research (Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence), a practical approach to developing real anti-aging medicine.
If you do not have health, if you cannot defeat cancer and extend your life, you will not be able to benefit from new, world-changing innovations. You will not be there to evolve, or be free.
We must find a way to preserve life. We must do it now.

I've contacted Randall from Project Agape about changing organizations. I'm waiting for his reply now. Thanks again, Roko. I've given you an administrative position as you've shown that you have actually paid attention to the cause as opposed to joining and never looking again.

You're right. When i was choosing an organization, the description they gave me was false, and i will soon change it. i have yet to find the WTA, singularity institute, or lifeboat foundation on the list, but i'll try to find a group that we really identify with. thanks for pointing this out.
