Ms. Ross, my 4th - 6th grade teacher at San Lorenzo Valley Elementary! She made learning fun, inspired us all to do our best and we got to go to a week-long science camp each year.
Long ago, my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. McKinley (I still remember her name, mostly by reference to Fort McKinley of "Stars and Stripes" fame) evinced full faith in my skills and intelligence. She was the one who started giving me 8th grade math tests and fully endorsed ANY career I chose to pursue in college. SHE was the one who convinced me my dream (from about age five) of attending MIT (they had the best toys) was achievable -- and so I did.
Cross reference me as: flared0ne.
Mrs Dallas, my 6-8th grade teacher made such a difference in my life. She was not only a good teacher, but she was fun and made learning fun.
Mrs Prince, the fourth grade teacher for Grantsville Elementary in Utah - currently teaching at Willow due to a fire at the elementary school over the summer, these teachers are providing a good education in exceptional circumstances. These teachers lost thousands of $ in classroom materials when a wing of the school caught fire this summer. They are working with donated supplies and what they could put in out of pocket. Entire years of supplies are gone. Many are working in mobile classrooms this year - trailers on the other school's properties.
My 5th grade teacher Ms Damato made class so much fun. We got to listen to the soundtrack of Stand by Me when we were good. I just learned so much in her class.
My 4th grade teacher Mrs. Ross had a massive impact on me.
Im in my 20s, and she STILL hasn't forgotten about me, and always checks in to see how Im doing.
Thank you Mr. Porter for helping my daughter, and many more, have a great year learning about school and much more.
My English teacher, Mrs.Craighead. She really believed in me and told me one day that I could REALLY be whoever I wanted and go as FAR as I wanted in life. That really stuck with me and I will always be thankful for that.

Patient
Energetic
Funny - Sense of Humor - in which she displays in the classroom too
Passionate - specifically about her job and I can only hope in the future my children have a teacher as wonderful as she is.

My 6th grade teacher inspired me. She was taking a class in creative writing while I was in her class. She modeled continuing education while at the same time teaching me to love creative writing. We would walk into the classroom and each day a different student's work would be written on the board for everyone to see. I still remember the day mine was up there. I knew then that I wanted to be a writer. She made it soooooo fun!
