To give hope and encouragement to underpriviledged families by bringing them Thanksgiving food.
A Day of Hope is a nonprofit program and part of ASI at California State University, Stanislaus that gives hope and encouragement to needy families through bringing them food at Thanksgiving.
We accomplish this by delivering a basket of food and turkey to their front door The Sunday before Thanksgiving. Many of these families wouldn't otherwise have a Thanksgiving meal to share.
2012 will be the eighth year of A Day of Hope; since 2005 we have delivered over 1,600 large boxes of food and turkeys to as many families. Thousands of people have eaten a Thanksgiving meal because of the generosity and compassion of the volunteers involved with A Day of Hope.

1. Families should have a Thanksgiving meal.
2. Everyone deserves to eat.
3. It's up to us to make this happen.
