About this Petition:
In the feature documentary "The Cove," a team of activists and filmmakers infiltrate a heavily-guarded cove in Taiji, Japan. In this remote village they witness and document activities deliberately being hidden from the public: More than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises are being slaughtered each year and their meat, containing toxic levels of mercury, is being sold as food in Japan, often times labeled as whale meat.
The majority of the world is not aware this is happening. The Taiji cove is blocked off from the public. Cameras are not allowed inside and the media does not cover the story. It's critical that we get the word out in Japan. Once the Japanese people know we believe they will demand change.

I can't even look at this... I love animals and can't stand anyone that hurts them....
Animal cruelty is a giant disgrace...the one thing i have not noticed in any of the posts, though, is the behavior rarely stops with animals. Animal cruelty is generally the indicator of how one will treat other humans (mostly children). How can we call ourselves the dominant species if we overlook our responsibilities as the caretakers of the planet?
I ever ever see anyone hurt a animal, i would probably go to jail, how the hell can anyone do that to a animal. People make me sick, if you hurt a animal the same damn thing should be done to you. And yes, they do have feelings for the jerks saying they dont!
