Thanks again everyone!
I have a few family members who were survivors but i didn't get to know them much. I just want to say a blessing to those who had survived and may we never experience such grief.
I am a child of Halocaust Survivors. Both my parents made it out. It has touched my entire life, their experiences, memories and the parent they became. It is not a pretty story. My siblings and I became their Jews and they became Nazis. I have read many stories of this happening, like the Stockholm Syndrome. It was a violent, painful childhood. Adulthood was pretty much the same, as my siblings and I continued to abuse ourselves the way our parents did. Is there anyone out there that has experienced this as well? Part of me is fearful of hearing others stories, part of me is wanting some sort of resolution. You can write to my wall where everything is just you and me. I would not want to share this stuff with the world. Thanks. jdcoop
I long to get to the holy land one day. Maybe perhaps there I could help the surviors and give them hope and inspiration.
Vicki.
I really wish I could help financially, but my spirit and love is there with all who suffered through the shoah.
No day like today....
For one day, from midnight (eastern daylight time) June 18th to midnight June 19th, 2009, The Kellogg Company is working with Causes to match 15% of all donations made to all causes on Facebook with a contribution to Feeding America. If you’ve been holding back on making a donation through Causes, today is the day!
Donate to any cause and the Kellogg Company will match an additional 15% of the donation amount to help feed Americans who lack access to adequate nutrition. For example, if you donate $100 to the Helping Holocaust Survivors cause, the Kellogg Company will also donate $15 to Feeding America.
Thanks Susan!
