The Canine Companions for Independence Wounded Veterans Initiative provides fully trained service dogs to wounded and disabled veterans. Your donation will help make more dogs possible to assist a veteran.
Since 1975, Canine Companions has provided service dogs free of charge to those that served in World War II, Vietnam, Korea and now the Iraq conflicts. For these veterans, with both combat-related injuries and non-combat injuries or disabilities, service dogs can provide the help they need to regain independence.
With the increase in wounded veterans who could benefit from an assistance dog, we want to do more. Your donation will help Canine Companions provide fully trained service dogs to help veterans with daily physical tasks, as well as provide companionship as a battle buddy.
Thanks for your support of our veterans!
