Mpagi Edward Edmary was held for 18 years in horrific conditions on death row under Idi Amin's reign of terror in Uganda - for a crime he did not commit. Upon his release, instead of harboring anger and resentment, he forgave his captors and focused on his dream of helping the many orphaned children in his village go back to school.
In Uganda, when a child is orphaned, they are forced out of school because they can no longer pay the school fees. Our school is an all-volunteer effort, and will have no such fees! This is truly a project of LOVE.

Edward partnered with Kathy Ozzard Chism at the all-volunteer nonprofit Dream One World based in Santa Rosa, California, USA, to make his dream come true. Ground was broken in December of 2009, and brick by brick, the first building, the library named "Wisdom" is being built! This library will initially serve as a classroom for 150 orphans until separate classroom buildings and an orphanage are built around it.
The walls for the library are UP, the roof is ON, and right now we need funding for windows, doors, flooring, etc! Please help us get there as quickly as possible so these beautiful children may start school. We also are currently building a well for clean water, and planting gardens for food for the orphans and volunteers.
