Urge Thailand to Ban the Trade of Ivory
To: Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra
I am greatly concerned about the record levels of elephant poaching in Africa. Demand for illegal ivory products could drive the species to extinction in Africa, and Thailand's elephants could be next. I urge you to ban all ivory trade in Thailand to help save them.

Every day across Africa, wild elephants are being slaughtered to meet the insatiable demand for ivory. Entire herds are being poached out of existence to supply the illegal trade of ivory carvings and trinkets in Asia.
The scale of illicit activity is staggering in places like Thailand. Poachers and organized crime syndicates there are making millions of dollars a year, turning this Southeast Asian nation into the largest unregulated ivory market in the world.
Exploiting a legal loophole that permits the sale of ivory from Thailand's domestic elephants, criminals can pass off illegally obtained African ivory as being from domestic sources and get away with selling it on the legal open market. This must stop.
Tell Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra she can help save the world's elephants by banning the Thai ivory trade.

If animals get the same illnesses as we how the hell can they cure these with thier body parts..all cures come from plants this is a true fact..money drives people to be idiots of greed.
Teach conservation in school damit not lieing cheating politics. Start at home with compassion.
Signed. We have a piano with ivory keys. We would never purchase ivory but it's been in the family for many decades, and has been passed down from our great grandmother. It is a horrible, archaic trade that NEEDS to stop, but I will continue to play on the piano, as to throw it away or sell it would only further diminish the importance of those poor dear creatures who perished in order for it to be created.

Take shellfish from our seabeds the fish die away, the sharks and other predatory species either die or move on and that area of sea would stagnate. Take Humans from almost any environments anywhere in the world and it would flourish... likely story.
God created wildlife and placed humans in charge to take care of His creatures. All of this belongs to God and humans have NO right to kill them for financial gain!!!!!!!!

Could somebody possibly come up with a synthetic ivory that can be manufactured for these people to carve and decorate? Maybe that would help stop the poaching?
