Investigate and prosecute the Process workers at Inghams Tahmoor Processing plant.

We the undersigned demand that NSW Police and Inghams thoroughly investigate processing plant workers at Inghams Tahmoor over the animal cruelty video footage which clearly shows these men being abusive towards Turkeys.

The workers showed complete disregard for the suffering they were inflicting on the turkeys.

The graphic and disturbing footage shows workers as they take turkeys from crates and shackle them before they are stunned and slaughtered.

In one case when a turkey falls to the ground, a worker repeatedly kicks the bird as it flaps about on the floor helplessly.

The worker then picks up the turkey and slams it against a cage, before stomping on the bird’s head repeatedly until it no longer moves. The worker’s colleague looks on, but doesn’t intervene.

In another case, two workers take it in turns to kick and knee a bird as it hangs in its shackles, before the workers appear to celebrate.

Later, one worker is shown checking around a corner, apparently to make sure no one is watching, before lining up a bird and kicking it.

The footage also shows the workers doing a mock chicken dance and clapping.

This kind of behaviour must NOT be tolerated and these people must be investigated , SACKED and charged with animal cruelty.
We would like to see INGHAMS PROCESSING PLANTS installing CCTV as a matter of urgency. Sincerely...

'Torture for fun': police given shocking abattoir footage.

Workers at an Ingham poultry plant in Sydney's south west are secretly filmed mistreating live turkeys.
WARNING: some viewers may find these images distressing.

We demand CCTV in all Australian abattoirs and factory farms.

CCTV acts as a deterrent to workers who may mistreat animals.

CCTV also provides a legally filmed recording to prosecute workers who do so.  With ongoing undercover footage surfacing of animals abused in Australian abattoirs, factory farms and piggeries, MANY caring Australians are looking for solutions!   Help us be a voice for these defenseless animals as we push for the installation of CCTV in all Australian abattoirs, factory farms and piggeries. CCTV ideally will be monitored by independent authorities, and is relatively affordable to implement.

The United Kingdom has a model that we are closely following.  They have successfully had CCTV installed in many slaughterhouses, largely due to the work of UK Animal Aid - by working with UK leading supermarkets and their meat suppliers. Interestingly, the UK Government were initially not interested in helping out, but that has since changed.  In January 2013, a motion was forwarded in UK Parliament for the mandatory installation of CCTV in all slaughterhouses in UK.

Australia continues to lag behind other developed nations when it comes to animal welfare standards.

Greens MP and animal welfare spokesperson Cate Faehrmann says it's up to the NSW Parliament to prevent future acts of cruelty by supporting the Greens' bill for mandatory CCTV in abattoirs.
THE GREENS party have a bill ready to go that could prevent acts of cruelty like this in the future and we urge the government to support it!

Another video I can imagine all too well, though I have to avoid seeing it. I have enough vivid images of animal cruelty in my mind, that I can hardly fall asleep at night. Unfortunately, the animal victims don't have the luxury of choice; they must actually live and die with the torture, the suffering, the cruelty foisted on them by subhuman vermin who apparently have no personal power in their own miserable lives, so they take out their hostility, their hatred, their pathetic need for...

I wish karma were instant, because these miserable murderers need to go to Hell yesterday!

Criminal brutality at Inghams poultry plant again demonstrates unacceptable systematic failure by government of all persuasion in Australia to regulate this vile industry by implementing and monitoring a code of practice to prevent this and many more sickening acts of cruelty to animals which people feed on. Criminal brutality at Inghams poultry plant again demonstrates unacceptable systematic failure by government of all persuasion in Australia to regulate this vile industry by implementing and monitoring a code of practice to prevent this and many more sickening acts of cruelty to animals which people feed on. Lack of mandatory codes of practice and direction for the live-stock industry results in such repulsive animal cruelty! If governments cant protect animals against such barbaric behaviour and systematic animal cruelty, then it must legislate and demonstrate some leadership and decency. The Inghams Corporation must have known of these abhorrent animal cruelty at it plants so its hollow denial and verbal condemnation is futile. Criminal Charges must be laid against Ibghams Corporation and the sick psychopaths it employs for this brutal cruelty must be arrested. CCTVs must be mandatory and people should stop buying all Inhgams poultry until those CCTVs are installed. Who could continue to eat these poultry? Only people with the same ethics and morals as the criminals inflicting these barbaric acts would continue to buy these poultry. Imagine what the lives of these birds are if this is what happens at the end! Shameful and disgraceful to anyone who supports this brutral business. Australia must adopt the UK practice of CCTV's in all slaughterhouses.

It is so sick. Just another reason for people to think hard about what the animals had to go through before they winded up on their plates. I'm a vegetarian bordering on vegan and I will never, ever eat any living thing again. More people need to stop. They need to close down Ingham's plant and punish them all to the fullest extent of the (very weak laws unfortunately) laws. Jail time, put their pictures and names in the paper and a huge fine. This money should go towards the animals and the people that love them and protect them. SHUT IT DOWN AND ANY OTHER PLANT THAT TORTURE ANIMALS.

Isn't this kind of conscienceless brutality suggestive of other concerns regarding these individuals? Law enforcement all over the western world are familiar with behavioral profiles as predictors of extreme anti-social activity.

Payment demands timekeeping, timekeeping requires records, records will indicate who they are. Someone assigned them this work station. This company knew who they were within an hour of being challenged on this question - don't pretend otherwise and abet this outrage.

Management must have known about the horrific abuse and tacitly endorsed it. I have a hunch that past histories of violence, criminality and depravity were of no interest to the people doing the hiring. What else can we expect of these corporations?

South western Sydney? Hmmm and what mainly lives there?? Yep that says it all and because they treat animals like crap in their Countries they should be told its not on to do that here.... bastards!!!

I did "sign" the petition but that should not imply that it is just these individual, illegal acts of cruelty that I oppose. There is no such thing as "humane meat". Slaughter is cruel and unnecessary. The only reason that I support CCTVs is not to make sure that it is done "humanely" but in the hope that more people will think about slaughter and go vegan. Family farming is not the answer: I have experience in which parents buy their children chickens (or other animals that are usually used...

Family farming is not the answer: I have experience in which parents buy their children chickens (or other animals that are usually used for meat); the children treat them as companion animals and give them names... and one day the animals get slaughtered... and the adults ridicule the children and rub it in their face. I used to live in Australia and teachers sometimes ridiculed "animal lovers" (and victims of bullying and name-calling) in front od the whole class. To the anti-vegans: almost all of the food that I eat does not involve killing the plant.

Nadya Rossi

You expressed it perfectly. I wish I had been educated much earlier in life, but Grandson and I adopted a vegan lifestyle about 10 years ago and couldn't be happier about our choice.

Screw the CCTV's, ALL OF THESE PATHETIC, DEMENTED OPERATIONS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN! The fact that ANY animal is murdered for food in the 21st. century is disgusting! GO VEGAN!
