I'm a supporter of spaying and neutering pets. Not only will it save their lives but also many unwanted cats/dogs who ultimately end up being destroyed due to overpopulation.
Me too
There is something even more effective than spaying the male dogs: VASECTOMY! Specially on larger dogs. They will prevent the other dogs from mating, they will mate but not produce offspring. This method of population control has been proven the most effective. Even with insects. This is a much faster, cheaper and safer way to prevent homeless pets, specially where resources are scarse and loose cats and dogs roam the streets.
Candida it is not more effective....how could it be? The males will still rape the female dogs in gangs, it is not cheaper (as the animal still undergoes surgery), and there is no way for anyone to see if the dog is sterile or not (he will still appear intact, and no one will know who is sterile and who needs surgery. Romania has a history of some folks eartagging dogs that have not infact been sterilized, so the only way to know for certain that a male has been sterilized is by viewing whether or not he is intact). The male dogs often gang rape females while they roam in packs on the streets, often biting the females and hurting them terribly in the act of trying to mate. Removing that testosterone helps with their aggression as well. They also can still spread Sticker Tumor (the horrible sexually transmitted disease) if they are still mating. Relieving the mating factor needs to be a priority.

Thank you for setting a humane example for managing your pets in Tecuci. This is a wonderful act of kindness for these animals as it will reduce overpopulation and suffering of your lovely animals. Please keep up the good work of spaying and neutering and hopefully more areas in Romania will adopt your practice.
ce serait bien que toutes les photos concernant les animaux de Roumanie ressemblent à celle ci-dessus.
