To President Obama and the Congress of the United States: We have signed this Petition to"Repeal the Sequester"and replace it with an emboldened "Build America's Future" Act, a recommendation we agree with, put forth by Robert Reich.

We are here to remind you that we voted you into office in 2012 and wish no bargaining that creates ANY loss of SS, Medicare, Medicaid and the like!

We are disgusted with the disingenuous behavior the right-wing GOP and Tea Party has used, at any cost, to railroad all Bills, Acts and FORWARD action. We are beyond frustration. "Tempus Fugit!"

We desperately want action. We have given you the ability to stay in office and continue your Mandate. Please accept our input and influence while we stand behind/beside you!

Following are the details that Mr. Reich writes about:

'My sense is he [the President] should push to repeal the sequester (a reconciliation bill in the Senate would allow repeal with 51 votes, thereby putting pressure on House Republicans), and replace it with a "Build America's Future" Act that would close tax loopholes used by the wealthy, end corporate welfare, and reduce the size of the military. Half the revenues would be used for deficit reduction, the other half for investments in our future through education (from early-childhood through affordable higher ed), infrastructure, and basic R&D. Also included in that bill -- to make sure our future isn't jeopardized by another meltdown of Wall Street -- would be a resurrection of Glass-Steagall and a limit on the size of the biggest banks.

I'd make it clear to the American people that they made a choice in 2012 but that right-wing House Republicans have been blocking that choice, and the only way to implement that choice is for Congress to pass the Build America's Future Act. If House Republicans still block it, I'd make 2014 a referendum on it and them, and do whatever I could to take back the House.

Many of you touched on other aspects of what should be included in the President's second-term agenda. But the main point is for the President to reframe the public debate around the future of the country and the investments we must make together in that future, rather than austerity economics; and to focus on good jobs and broad-based prosperity rather than prosperity for a few and declining wages and insecurity for the many.'

It's raining here in the NE. In Rome, 115 Cardinals have sequestered themselves in their sacred room, behind closed doors, until there is a unanimous vote. Eventually, white smoke will rise from the Vatican, the sign that a new POPE has been chosen by a unanimous vote of the 115. There is no cry for money and there are no cries of injustice. Catholics will honor that choice made by 115 Cardinals, with celebrations and a new HOPE for a better tomorrow and a NEW direction of Leadership...

The Catholic Church has many problems regarding heinous acts that involve Cardinals, Priests and those who serve the Catholic Church. There is no denying that. The Catholic Church, as all churches and faiths, are clearly separated in the US Constitution. We are of a different faith, or mixed faiths, or of no faith, or of some other spiritual belief system that falls under the "faith category." As some of us wonder. some of us wait, some of us don't care... it certainly must be a good feeling to trust those who are in the position of power, to make wise decisions based upon what is good for the populous. Just thinking out loud...

We've had the weekend, we have sprung forward and might feel a little sleepy and off-track. Let's get back ON TRACK, remain pro-active and work towards doing SOMETHING to REJECT/REPEAL the SEQUESTER!
We are on the side of the POTUS, that remains clear in our CAUSE. We offer up more FORWARD movement. We made a choice in 2012 and CONGRESS has defiantly OBSTRUCTED our POTUS and our CHOICES!
We recommend a REMINDER on the MANDATE we ask President Obama to continue to act...

Safe passage to those of you in the midst of, or expecting, the Winter storm!
It's the night after the POTUS invited 12 Republican House members, to a delicious dinner. Today, there will be another lunch for more Republican House members, that will include some Dems. The snakes need to be charmed! Will the GOP do their "homework" now that they've been well fed and been given a bedtime story? Perhaps.

Do the job we elected you to do, stop the childish blame game and making Federal Employees and Defense Contractors pay for you stupidity. We do not want an Austerity society where only the lucky and rich have basics like shelter, food, money, Health insurance etc. Many countries in Europe have done what GOP is trying to do and you see how well thats working dont you its not. We dont want a country of "Have's and Have Not" the middle class and poor are tired or paying for the RICH.
