We need this youngster to be released from Prison.
It has already been established that he is Psychotic and should be in a situation which gives him a clearer shot at Life.
People who have done more serious crimes are roaming the streets free and have gotten very light sentences.

Signed but I have some questions. What is it that he has done? How old is he? Please inbox the answers or if you feel comfortable comment; whichever works best for you. I can help!
Also, you may want to increase the number of signatures you are requesting being that it is getting close to your target goal.

Thank you all for sharing. I wasnt lookimg to judge anyone. Just curious of the situation as it was just explained to me. What was said was plenty.
I am an advocate for today for a better tomorrow. My goals is to help our future generations receive a fair trial and equal punishment. I currently just branched off from Dare 2 Voice and now have my own company;

It still has some minor touch ups needed to be done but is good to go.
I also have several petitions I am a part of. Please check out Over Charged Young Black Men and Women. My brother is doing 25 years for shooting a weapon with blank bullets into the air. No one was injured or killed.
I understand 1st hand what you are going through.
This young man needs specialist treatment which he will not be able to receive in prison. His case is now a public health issue and should be diverted into a mental hospital for treatment.
I hope he gets the help he needs. They need to free him so he can get that help and have a normal life. I will keep him in my prayers...
Thanks Kelz
The yute jus need help...an a second chance that EVERYone deserves...but I guess 'dem' nuh really have an interest in real rehabilitation.
Such a shame on individuals entrusted with the duties of making fair judicial calls. I did not know the young man personally, howerver I followed the issue and anticipated him being sent to a mental institution based on his condition....shame shame shame.
If it is proven that he is psychotic, the system should release him to the proper Institution for treatment .
Jamaica has ignored mental illness for far too long, in the mean time, those who act out due to mental illness, are thrown in jail. Yes crime is wrong, but everyone should be analysed to determine the level of sanity. If found off balance, they then deserve treatment before we decide that they are not worthy of being a part of society. Many many are free despite the horrendous crimes they have committed, with their SOUND MINDS! So this young man deserves a chance at a controlled, medicated, stable & safe life...it is possible!
So true Michelle
He needs a chance. The cure for mental illness is not prison, it is mental care!
Thanks Janice
Why not a ministerial pardon? Is there such a thing on JA?
