scroungers or super human
- Posted to Stop The Government Taking Benefits… by Gavin Smith
scroungers or super human, during the paralympians the government led us all to think that paralympians would not loose there DLA today it is a reality that many of the British stars of London 2012 are now benefit scrounging scum as all other disabled people are labeled and nothing but a drain on our society. For over 30 years people have been fighting for the rights of disabled people and now within 4 years this conservative government is going to wipe out all that hard work. Once the decision is made to change this benefit there is very little chance of ever getting it back and if by a very slim chance it is it will be at least another 30 years of fighting to get it back. Show your compassion and your disgust at this decision by getting as many friend to join this cause as you possibly can. We are growing every day and yesterday made almost 1000 new members so i would like to personally thank each and every one of you whether have friends invited or just you, you are helping to make a change THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I was working 2 jobs happy with my life for the moment. I was on my motorcycle when a person talking and texting crossed enter line hitting me and cutting my leg off , smashing the rest. I'm disabled not by my choice. I'd gladly go back 2 working 2 jobs if I had a choice of leg & no check or no leg & getting a check. For some of us its not a choice. Charlotte Doucet

I am disabled with degenerative disc disease and then arthritis, but I had to go through five panel appeals untill they decided I was probably permanently disabled with any recovery unlikely. It was hell having toi prove my case every time because they could not see any disability, though I was in constant pain and still am, which gets considerably worse if I miss any of my medication by an hour or so. Now the fear of having to go through more examinations to see if I am disabled under new rules is really worrying me. I hate what this government have done to people like me. I will never forget their callousness.

I have Autism as well as my parents whom are both on the autistic spectrum, we find life very difficult and we need support. What needs to happen is more disability awareness, more education on the subject as well as making MPs aware of disabilities and how they have an impact on the person and their family.

My uncle has severe MRDD & Schizophrenia & so does my aunt. They were born wiyh these mental disabilities and cannot work. When they were growing up there were no special education teachers or schools. They never got to learn to read or write. People who need disability to live on to survive cannot afford this to be taken away.

when i was 15 i fell injuring my neck but instead of getting the treatment that was needed i was in a way ignored. after years of getting told there was nothing wrong with me, or it`s in your head, i was diagnosed 13 years ago with fibromyalgia. i have worked all my life until i got too bad, depression is a big part of my demon and not being able to do what i love is very hard, so i get down very easy. if they take the DLA away i will be sat in 4 walls cause i wont be able to run my car or go out, falling into deep depression probably needing more care or even giving up all together. there are many people out there who through no fault of their own would love to work but can`t. we have paid into the system where as many haven`t but they get the money not us.

My youngest son has Aspergers syndrome and under the new rules he may be forced into a work focused group, he is unable to maintain any sort of normality in his life due to poor social skills and communication and yet Mr.Cameron thinks he will be able to get a job in competition with University graduates who are forced to do menial jobs as there are no other posts available. My son has fought against being different due to his disability and now he will be made to feel a failure as he has no chance of being employed. It is a sad world we live in when the disabled and disadvantaged in our society are forced to face their demons without any hope of success.

I have narcolepsy and cataplexy with many of the associated conditions. Because I can walk ok and can function some of the time, I am really concerned that I will not gain the PIP. At the same time how can I convince an employer to take on a person who is at risk of falling asleep at a moments notice?
