UK Prime Minister David Cameron is a multimillionaire and getting richer. He claimed Disabled Living Allowance for his daughter and got it. As he is a member of the super rich top 1% of the UK population, do you really think that he is poor enough to be struggling to look after his disabled child? I respectfully ask, Ms McVey, that you take a long hard look at which claimants are in absolute financial need and entitled to benefits and put a maximum income ceiling of no more than £75,000 on claimants. Remember that the social security benefits system was introduced specifically to help the poor of this country to achieve a reasonable standard of living, not to line the pockets of the wealthy.

For too long now the rich and super rich of the UK have been allowed to milk the benefits system when they have no financial need to claim them. They only claim them because they can. Poverty to so many of these people is not being able to have an extra holiday in a year or upgrade the Mercedes. Yes, a disabled child can mean extra expenses to a family, I am not disputing that. What I am disputing is when parents can clearly afford to pay for their disabled child's upbringing, without becoming poverty stricken, yet they still insist on receiving non means tested benefits just because they are available to them. In these days of financial disaster, it is financial lunacy to allow this to go on. Please support this petition to get the perspective of benefit abuse correct and make it right.

This petition needs to be shared and shared again. Don't be scared of drumming the message home to the people you know. I'm sure that they have a sense of justice which will lead them to see that millions of British Pounds Sterling are being wasted through those who don't have a financial need for certain benefits claiming them just because they can. It's almost 10 years since Morrisons took over Safeway here in the UK. During the battle to buy Safeway, Sainsbury killed the first bidding dead by a last minute bid that was bigger than the rest. It was the only bid they made, which they promptly withdrew saying that they only did it because they could. Sainsbury's arrogance cost millions of public pounds and their biggest competitor won the bidding the second time. It's that kind of arrogance that keeps many of the rich and super rich of this country claiming money that they do not financially need. It is time to see sense and put an end to this financial waste.
