Maker's Mark was 45% alcohol by volume, now the bourbon is 42%, a reduction of 6.7%. This inevitably effects the bourbon's taste and complexity. We urge to reconsider your decision to dilute Maker's Mark bourbon from 90 proof to 84 proof. Please keep Maker's Mark at it's traditional recipe and alcohol content on 90 proof. This is more than just about taste, it's about a great American legacy. Don't dilute this ageless spirit, or the deep tradition of Maker's Mark.

Thank you

Maker's Mark is watering down it's whiskey to meet demand (I can't image there is much demand for watered down whiskey?). Maker's Mark was 45% alcohol by volume, and according to company literature, the bourbon is now 42% alcohol by volume, a reduction of 6.7%! This is not the recipe that is so steeped in American bourbon tradition. Please sign the petition for Maker's Mark to go back to what made it great in the first place and not water down their product for profit.

    Maker's Mark Caves!

Congrats! Maker's Mark has announced they will no longer be changing their recipe to a more watered down version. While we had 11 signatures, Maker's Mark clearly realized that we 11 people likely drink more than our share of their bourbon.
