We express our indignation for the brutal and cruel traditional festival of Nem Thuong village in Vietnam. A live pig is brutally chopped into two with a large blade while it is totally conscious. Then, the villagers rush to smear their banknotes with the blood of the pig, in the belief that it would bring good luck in the New Year.
It is shameful and morally unacceptable that on 2013 animals being killed in the name of traditions so I ask you to STOP immediately this utterly pointless and shocking practice.

We ask the vietnamese government to act for stopping this cruel ritual. The whole world looks to you and this shameful crualty.
