On Feb 20th, I'll be embarking on the trek of a lifetime: climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. I want to raise $2,000 for the Kisumu Children's Rescue Center before I begin my journey to the roof of Africa!
Dare 1: At 19,341 feet, Kilimanjaro is the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. Im going to hike through 5 different climactic zones, battling exhaustion, altitude sickness and weather change from intense heat to freezing cold to reach Uhuru Peak on the 7-day trek.
Dare 2: If I reach my $2,000 goal by the day I leave base camp, I will strip to a bikini at the top of the mountain. Its going to be very, very cold. . . but what could be more worth it?
