Dutch was accused of being a "vicious" or "dangerous" dog and is now in danger of euthanization by a Court Order.
In November 2012, he bit his previous owner and left puncture wounds.
The person who was bit admits that they spent several minutes punching, kicking, and hitting him with a metal pole before he retaliated.

I am so tired of the arrogance of some members of the human race, thinking that is 'OK' to beat another living creature, and then put them to death. Really, are we the 'most intelligent beings'? I think not. If anything, the abuser should be prosecuted.
I agree, euthanize the person beating this dog and REALLY make a statement.
i adgree with barbara lowing, any dog will defend it,s self if being beaten, the person who did that should be put away if not down as they want for the dog.
The poor dog's situation reminds me of what usually happens to an abused woman in a domestic situation where the man is battering the woman and when she defends herself, she is imprisoned.
Don't expect much from the Chinese scumbags
Jeff Andrews since when? not seen that in MY life time.....
the woman who beat him should be put away. The dog should be left alone, after all he was the victim of abuse and only bit in self defense!
This really is a NO-BRAINER!!! I am not sure why they are even considring euthanasia--people get off murder charges for self-defense pleas. This is just ABSURD!!!!!
Signed. The law has to stop punishing animals when they're reacting to abuse! Punish the owner, not the victim!
Also, please sign this, guys <3 http://www.causes.com/actions/1736270-petition-stop-the-torture-slaughter-of-animals-for-fashion
Not the dogs fault, the owner should be put down
previous owner
You are so right!
Dutch should have bit that person! And that person(s) should have charges pressed against them for animal cruelty! They should be treated in the same manner as they treated Dutch! Beat them with a metal pole!!
The judge said that the bite was a separate incident to the beating because it took place after she dragged him inside. I say he is wrong on that. This was a drawn out beating that got brought inside the house. He bite her because she grabbed him by the muzzle that was already swollen and painful. What I want to know is why did she do this to begin with? Why did she target this dog and what does she have against him or his owners. I think she needs a shrink evaluation because I think she's crazy.
The judge is obviously an idiot who can't work out that the dog may have been scared of another beating - I know I would have been. Put down the woman and the judge - far more effective than putting down a decent creature. That might sound a little brutal but really, we 'pussy foot' around in the name of justice - this is not a complicated situation.
Karen Dahl yeah and see the same doctors.
I AGREE A HUNDREAD PERCENT.
