Sorry I can not support the new shelter being near Dibert Park.

To be honest there aren't many areas that are gonna be convenient for everyone. I think diebert park would be great! And the elderly lady that donated the land to Florence to build diebert park would love the idea as well. It's a community park, what a great place to have our community shelter!

THIS animal shelter picked up my 2 dachshunds on a thursday and put them to sleep on that SAME Saturday! said they were too vicious to feed! The mayor and Mr. Nix, who was over the shelter at the time agreed they had murdered my dogs "accidently" so they replaced them w/2 dogs of my choice. there is no replacing my family members!

i have a mini dash and think I would kill over him ;-)

I am opposed to a shelter at Dibert Park, but do believe the shelter should be upgraded. Spaying an neutering are the humane way to control animal populations.

We also need pooper scooper laws--Wilson Park and the landscaping around Rosie's is appalling. Can the dogs be walked at the new Memorial park off Tennessee Street? There are lots for sale beside the Memorial Park.

I would not recommend this new shelter be built at Diebert Park

As stray animals come into the shelter there I no way to tell what sickness they carry such as parvo, distemper, kennel cough.I feel as if the shelter being built there could contaminate the park that the public enjoys also!

I might be a military spouse who has traveled all over this country but I still think about you guys and our fur babies there! I am going to do what I can to help.
