Sorry, the correct answer is

Monsanto

Many ArborGen executives formerly worked at Monsanto. Coincidentally, Monsanto was an initial partner in creating ArborGen, along with International Paper, WestVaco and Fletcher Challenge (now Rubicon). Monsanto backed out before ArborGen was formally created.

ArborGen's former CEO, Barbara Wells, spent 17 years working for Monsanto, and was the head of their RoundUp Ready soy division in Brazil.

Current CEO Andrew Baum previously worked for Monsanto in their Sustainable Development sector.

Maud Hinchee, ArborGen's Chief Science Officer, spent 18 years with Monsanto.

David Nothmann, former VP of Business and Product Development at ArborGen, worked at Monsanto for 13 years.

ArborGen wants to rise to the top of the forest biotech industry, so they have stacked their corporate team with veterans of the industry.  ArborGen, which is expanding its global operations, especially in Brazil, wants to own the genes in tree plantations worldwide.

This has profound implications on forest-dependent communities, considering recent cases of farmers being sued by Big Ag when genetic material they claim to own shows up in someone else's field.

And just as this company has pioneered and expanded a model of agriculture that relies on chemical inputs, monocultures and global trade, ArborGen is continuing this trend in the forest industry.  Together, we can stop them from desecrating forests and turning diverse ecosystems into monoculture plantations filled with GE eucalyptus

Genetic engineering is the most flourishing branch of molecular biology. Its fruit should be open for the human race. Those who wants to get the genetically manupulated flora and fauna registered in their name. They should be bold enough first to create a plant of their own--i.e. not ever seen on this earht and then try to control the intellectual property rights of that. All of us should look forward to see who has the ability to create some thing entirely new by managing from their own...

Companies that create GE plants, usually make the plant to produce pesticides, AND if that isnt bad for Koalas to eat ( zoos buy eucalyptis ), then using the wood for fuel....whats the pesticide going to do to our air?

We should not play Dr. Frankenstein.

Do you know the correct answer to who is the biggest perpetrator of death and disease on the surface of our planet(I mean besides the U.S. Govt's marriage to industry and the military industrial complex)?

The activity of Monsanto would be the making of a good si fi horror movie, I would love to see what those Monsanto executives eat, I bet it is organic.

let us try to stop further destruction of our ecosystems.

All flora and fauna on the earth is teh gift of the God for human beings. Since ages it has been serving the living beings in almost every step of life on earth. In such a situtaion flora and fauna is the common property of human beings on earth and the future generations. No body on earth can make any company owner of living beings common property.

If we permit companies like Monsanto and ArborGen to become owner of common human property and heritage then in future these companies will...

If we permit companies like Monsanto and ArborGen to become owner of common human property and heritage then in future these companies will make human beings slave for their interests as owner of the indispencible property of human beings on earth.

Last but not the least, if any such thing happen, it will be the start of the end of this world.
