TO ADMIT PUERTO RICO AS A STATE OF THE UNION

Apparently does not exist any political and patriotic will to solve our centenary problem of democratic status and powers deficit. The political leaders of Puerto Rico are unable to reconcile their respective agendas of public appearances to finally start this process as expected. While small interests, illicit, immoral, unconscionable and unworthy enrichment with the money of the people of our archipelago and tribal divisions that characterize us continue to permeate our thinking and vision as a people, we are doomed to a political, economic and social limbo for the whole eternity. Cringe, but it is a monumental truth. Just ask real and collective interest to procure and secure a healthy, decent and reasonable future for our children and future generations... The page of our colonial reality must be passed NOW!

Al parecer no existe voluntad política y patriótica alguna para resolver nuestro centenario problema de estatus y déficit democrático de poderes. Los líderes políticos de este país no logran conciliar sus respectivas agendas de comparecencias públicas para que por fin se inicie tan esperado proceso. Mientras los intereses pequeños, el enriquecimiento ilícito, inmoral, desmedido e indigno con los dineros del pueblo de Puerto Rico y las divisiones tribales que nos caracterizan continúen permeando nuestro pensamiento y visión como pueblo, estaremos condenados al limbo político, económico y social por toda la eternidad. Da vergüenza ajena, pero es una monumental verdad. Solo pedimos interés real y colectivo para procurar y asegurar un futuro saludable, decente y razonable para nuestros hijos y las futuras generaciones... ¡La página de nuestra realidad colonial debe ser pasada YA!

The time for discussing our self-determination act of November 6, 2012, in which 54% voted NO in Question #1 to our territorial status and 61% voted for Statehood in Question #2 is finally approaching and taking shape with 62 Congressmen supporting it is about to create an incredible momentum in USA history!... Please be aware and tuned to hearings of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee of the U.S. Senate that will take place in mid July, 2013. Please write letters to each of the Committee members and your Senators to encourage a very objective discussion of our Admission Act legislation so our objectives can be successfully achieved... It is time to act, write and follow the hearings now, dear friend and supporter... Our future is in your hands... God bless you forever!

Dear friends and cause supporters:

We expected a mention or announcement by President Obama about our Puerto Rico Statehood Admission Petition. But, his silence about this important issue for our Nation was eloquent. Apparently, all other issues, no matter how important or trivial are for United States policy were vastly more important than the legitimate aspiration of about 4 million citizens on the island and about 8 millions others in the mainland. What a shame for our democracy!

We urge you to exert extreme pressure on the President to demand him to be politically brave and daring putting his word in action in respect to us. We are in a decided spirit of fighting for our rights, responsibilities and total participation in the business of our Union. The time is now!

Thanks to all for your decided support to our petition of Statehood for Puerto Rico. Many of you should know that the only things we need to complete our process of admission into the Union are the presidential and vice-presidential vote and the faculty to elect 2 senators and 7 representatives. At this, we can elect all our state government officials, including the Governor, Senators, Representatives, Mayors and County (Municipal) Legislators. We have a constitution approved in 1952 that makes possible to be organized as a state, but without its powers. Continue to help us to achieve our total sovereign integration to the Union.
