* Speedy justice for victims: Fast track courts - dignified justice - medical and psychological counselling - rehabilitation.

* Severe punishment for rapists: - Rapes should be made a non-bailable offence - castration - life imprisonment - provision for death penalty in extreme and barbaric cases leading to the victim's death or illness.

* Better crime prevention: Sex offenders registry - more police patrols - educational programs in schools because prevention is better then cure.

The rapist and a policeman tried to buy the victim's parents' silence by giving them money.
