Rape is up by 873% in India.  In 20 years 20% of women will have been killed in India subject to all kinds of gender specific violence!

We want to know why you won't implement the Justice Verma Committee's recommendation for the new Rape law in India?

Instead you mock the Verma report and you mock the women of India by allowing Kurien, a politician identified by a rape victim as one of 42 men who gang raped her, to chair a discussion on India's new rape law!!!!

WE DEMAND THAT YOU HONOR ALL THE RECOMMENDATION'S ON THE VERMA REPORT AS SPECIFIED (CLICK HERE)

If we want the system of law and order to respond ethically to rape and violence on women we will have to force the government of India to honor the findings and recommendations of the Verma committee for the new rape law in India!  The government is protecting rapists in government office by ignoring the Verma report!  All the more the reason, the public must force it to act!

If you are in the UK or Australia please join these efforts there to support the Indian protests against escalating rape and violence on Indian women. International pressure is very important to send the message to the government of India, that despite being sought by FDI interests, global citizens will still hold their governments accountable for who they do business with and what India's human rights records are!

Everywhere women are raped and killed above all by their friends or lovers.....

Dianna Bellerose

Violence against women is wrong, and we should stop it NOW, before so many innocent women are taking advantage of. I wrote my first fiction novel with this in mind, to empower women and stop evil.Fire and Ice

In Fire and Ice, Nancy, a naïve but resourceful, kindhearted woman, marries her high school sweetheart. As a working wife and mother, Nancy perseveres, despite having an abusive, alcoholic husband.

ONLY WAY IS TO CHANGE IS CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.

Having visited India recently & being impressed by its beauty & generous people , it is disturbing to learn these facts....the Government needs to clean up its act & put in place a system of protection for its women....& it needs firstly to educate the community on the wrongs of the mistreatment & killings of women & that people must come forward with information that will lead to the prosecution of the people who have committed these heinous crimes. India needs to redeem itself & jecome a safe place for women, children & men.

And now more than 13000.

Rhaid sefyll dros gyfiawnder. Stand up for justice.

It was not just rape. Not saying rape is to be taken lightly, but pushing a rod into her vagina and twisting and turning it and watching hungrily as she writhed in pain is not rape. It's almost cannibalism. Putting the offenders in jail is not enough. The punishment should be public like in the Middle East. That will instill fear in someone who feels like committing the crime in the future.

Aditi Madhusudhan, I think all we can do is sign this petition and hope someone listens.

GOD knows where we are heading towards......Should feel proud to be An Indian Or Human....

Very sad. My bro just told me about this horrific incident. We as men must stand up and put an end to this. Makes me feel very ashamed of my manhood. "shaking my damn head".

A question I have is whether access to the internet and violent porn plays a part in this horrendous abuse?

Teck Zilla

Yes and No, at the end of the day it all bores down to the individual. People have weird kinks, some of them don't necessarily go on to commit life threatening acts while on the flip side some actually do, its not really a black and white approach. The human psyche is pretty "simplex" to blame it on a specific parameter

It is indeed sad to write that India is no more safe country for woman.
