CARE believes that a shift in the attitudes and mindsets that perpetrate gender based violence is fundamental in eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls.
In all its work through programming, advocacy and partnerships, we are committed to addressing underlying social norms and practices of violence against women and girls.
Through this petition, we lend our voice to millions raising theirs against gender based violence. It is also a voice seeking longer term interventions and committed action from the Government of India.
We
seek to influence existing processes and structures committed to working
towards eliminating violence against women by promoting mindsets and attitudes
which treat women equal.
It is time to speak up and take a stand against all those societal attitudes and mindsets which perpetrate discrimination and violence against and women and girls.

.............The heinous crime in 1978 by Ranga Billa, They were hanged in 1982 and our system is still looking forward..... what action they want to adopt 2 stop all these...... bhagwan brosay chal rahaa h....
i read each n every comment related to gang-rape..wonder why no-one is thinking about CASTRATION...CRIMINAL WONT DIE BUT THEY SURE LY WILL LIVE WITH SANE FEELING AS VICTIM.IE SUFFERING FOR WHOLE LIFE......
Death sentence in law should be incorporated for rapists else there is no way out in current Indian scenario.
Nilamji death law is not sufficient, for these criminals the best punishment is to take them to public place & tied them & leave them there for a week & let them die there.

Our judiciary is OUTDATED, TERRIBLY SLOW and CORRUPT.Death penalty is a must. How about the poor victims.
What do the human rights activists have to say about the Delhi girl? Hell with them. The Paliment blast accused Afzal Ali was responsible for the death of 8 people including CRPF jawans.He should have been hanged with the Bombay blast BASTERD on the same day! They should not be hanged they should be given be punished in public, at the same place of incident, everyday, with a similar weapon they used. It should be an eye opener to similar types of goons. They should be treated the same way they treated the girl. Better if they would be locked up in solitary confinement for this inhuman crime.

Where is the dignity, where is your conscience, or are you so hardened, because those who suffer are children of a lesser God? Do not only claim credit when there is an itsy bitsy credit because you demand that itsy bitsy credit.Command, that credit, because the helpless females and children are crying out for your protection. Do a clean sweep of all the areas that needs sweeping. Weed out evil from the root. Garner all the help you can and show to the world, that you are capable of a sweeping change. Do not pretend, that all is hunky dory. If you do not make any change, just know, all the children, all the helpless females's blood will be in your hands. You will surely reap for your apathy.
