The petition was supposedly given a response by president obama, however the response is not worthy of being watched. Here is my breakdown of what was said in the 2:49 video:

I live in a free country with lots of gun laws and only 52 fire arms- related deaths last year. The US had over 10,000. How would less gun laws make your country better? None of your arguments make sense. The majority of gun-related deaths in the US are suicides- how would less gun control help that? Arming everyone would make you a country at war with itself. It was guns owned by a teacher that were used in the latest shooting. We feel sad for all of you as we look at you from as far away...

I don't agree with the end of your statement. I am a father of 4 and there isn't a gun on this planet that love more than my kids. That being said, I am also a gun owner and do like my guns. I compete with them, I hunt with them, & I am a custom gunsmith who builds custom rifles. I love my work but not more than my kids. That was a totally inappropriate remark and frankly, I think you should apologize for it, but I know you won't because you are sitting so far away in your free country with little crime judging us.

Does anyone else see the correlation between the gun law bans and the increase in shootings? Just like the exotic animal bans and the MURDER (NOT SUICIDE) of Terry Thompson in Zanesville, Ohio just a few days before the vote? Coincidence? I seriously doubt it.

It's not likely that out government will rebel against us but there is a good chance that this slaughter could happen again. Why do you need a weapon like the Newtown shooter used?
Danny where have you been getting your informtion? Danny when I was in Lawenforcement it was very clear to me and my fellow Officers that it is very easy to get black market weapons that have come across the Mexican U.S. border. ad guys do not buy firearms through legal channels because they are traceable. They either steal them or buy them from the smugglers on the Monterry Express.
PUT PRAYER BACK INTO SCHOOL THAT WELL HELP ALOT.
