Update #16
Posted by David Paine (Campaign Leader) on May 1Friends,
I wanted to address some of the comments on this page. First, this is not about taking away anyone's Second Amendment right to bear arms. I fully support the Second Amendment. I also want to assure everyone that if you signed the Sympathy Card, your name is not being used for any other petition. Here's background on what's happened to this Cause since the shooting: After we delivered the Sympathy Card to the Sandy Hook families in December, 2012, we wanted to find a way...

Update #15
Posted by David Paine (Campaign Leader) on Apr 11Your voices are being heard! This morning (4/11/13) the U.S. Senate voted 68-31, including 16 Republicans, to approve the start of debate on a key measure that would require criminal background checks for most gun sales, except those between private parties and neighbors. This is a key initial victory for those who support common sense solutions to reduce gun violence. This measure was supported by many conservative, gun-owning Senators on both sides of the aisle. The U.S. Senate is scheduled to take action on this legislation tomorrow (Thursday, 4/11/13).
