Stop this miscarriage of justice denying Vanunu freedom because he told the truth

First a THANKS to John Tyrell for beginning this thread and establishing This CAUSE!

On May 17, 2013, Vanunu wrote, "The restrictions arrived today by the Army. Next week by the interior minister, so the state arrest continue for more than 27 years."

This CAUSE has MORE than doubled in members since Vanunu deactivated his FB WALL in May 2012 proving that the longer Israel denies Vanunu his RIGHT to leave Israel the greater his Legend will grow so;

2,339 pledges to recruit 5 people to the cause. Target 2,500. Great work. If 2,500 people carry out their pledge that would be 12,500 supporters. This is more than our total membership of 10,828. I am sending out this update because recruiting has slowed right down. Thanks to those who have fulfilled their pledge, some several times over. However it appears the majority have not so please keep trying. We should have 20,000 members at least. 

Mordechai Vanunu has closed down his You Tube. We can only guess why. He has stated that he wants his freedom now. So please take action by writing to the silent media and inactive politicians. Let's make this cause redundant as quickly as possible. Vanunu deserves no less!

Day of action 21st April with 477 pledges to carry out an activity promoting the cause. I hope V is freed before then as he himself does.

The goal of attracting 1500 people to pledge to bring in 5 more supporters has been met. However if all who pledged to do this succeed in meeting their target our supporters will number well over 12,000 (the total recruitment would be 7,500). As Eileen continually points out for the campaign to Free Mordechai Vanunu to be successful members need to be active and so she started another pledge to "be the media", doing what the main stream press isn't. Mordechai was not freed it was stated because he was "bad publicity" for Israel.  Not nearly as bad as any publicity of Israel's own actions against human rights and concealing its nuclear stockpile.

So a big THANK YOU for the necessary support, but it's not over until "the Fat Lady sings" as they say.

We are now above 8,000 supporters with nearly 1,400 pledges to recruit 5 more people. 360+ have gone further to pledge their support by doing the job the mass media isn't: publicising Vanunu's situation by writing to elected representatives and media. The pledges to recruit more supporters take us well beyond the next target of 10,000. A number of you have exceeded your pledge, and many quickly met it. Please continue to make every effort to fulfil your promise if you haven't done so. There is no need to stop at 5!!! 978 people have taken a pledge to recruit 5 others to the cause in just over a week! Many have already met the target, some exceeding it wildly. So we have now met the next recruitment target of 7500 and are moving towards the next of 10,000.

We have repeatedly said that only active membership will secure our wish to get justice for Vanunu having served a sentence in shockingly inhumane conditions and then held 8+ years beyond in Israel against his will. Israel itself passed a law to strip citizenship from those charged with offences such Vanunu's and he has petitioned for that to be invoked in his case. That has not happened. The media and elected representatives of powerful nations have remained silent, so if all Vanunu's supporters in this cause can write with a wake up call that will be a significant move in the right direction.
