"Being gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered is not a disease to be cured or a mental illness that requires treatment. Any effort to change sexual orientation is not medicine, it's quackery, and we should not be supporting it with taxpayer dollars," said Congresswoman Speier.
Scientists agree sexuality is not a choice therefore treating it as a sickness is simply abusive. Junk science kills, we have a responsibility to stop it and stop the abuse it leads to.

We wondered if you had seen that New Jersey was thinking of banning this quack LGBT conversion therapy completely. Of course California already has, and when we get this resolution passed we'll no longer have a pipeline of our tax dollars funding quack therapists and their destructive practices.

We need you to do 3 quick things though to make sure this resolution passes.
1/. Use that big green button there to invite your friends. Show people you care and share why. Being gay is not a choice, please help your friends understand that this junk therapy, now banned in California, does real harm to kids.
