आपल्याकडे लष्कराच्या भाकर्या कशाला भाजतोयस अशी सर्व सामान्य व राजकारण्यांची विचारसरणी आणि आमचे सैनिक, पोलीस अतिरेक्यांशी लढताना मेले तर ''त्यात काय त्यांना आरामात पगार आणि स्वस्त दारू वगैरे मिळते की'' असे पुटपुटणारे/म्हणणारे हुशार महाभाग हिरीरीने पांढरे कपडे घालून ''जिंकू किंवा मरू'' अशी गाणी म्हणायला पुढे.
…सैनिकाच्या सोंग आणणार्या सिनेमा कलाकाराना करोडो व क्रिकेटच्या युद्धातील(?) हिरोंना लष्करी पेहाराव घालताना सगळीच मजा.
धैर्याच्या कथा लिहिणारे व भाषण करणाऱ्यांच्या बाहुत बळ नसले तरी...

प्रत्येक तरुणास ''मत दाना''चा आधीकार देण्याआधी ''राष्ट्रीय भावना'' येण्यासाठी लष्करात कमीतकमी ६ महिने ट्रेनिंग सक्क्तीचे होणे आवश्यक.
आपण सगळे ज्ञानी त्यामुळे माझे चुकत आहे का?

Bhal Patankar एन सी सी साठी ते तरुण/तरुणी कॉलेजला गेले पाहिजेत ना! पुष्कळसे शाळेत जाउ शकत नाहीत, शाळा संपली की नोकरीच्या मागे धावावे लागते त्यांचे काय असे प्रश्न लक्षात घेवून जॉर्ज फर्नांडीस मंत्री असताना त्यांच्याकडे टीपण पाठवले होते व त्यावर चर्चा झाली पण स्वतःच्या मुलांना लष्करात थोडा काळ का होईना पाठवायला देखील उच्चभ्रू, पैसेवाले, राजकारणी ह्यांची नाराजी.
Gautam Mhaisakar लष्करी शिक्षण तरुण-तरुणीना अत्यंत आवश्यक असून भारतात ते समाधनरीत्या दिले जात नाही ह्याचा खेड आहे. माझे दोन नातू सिंगापुर येथे असून,बारावी परीक्षा दिल्यावर त्याना दोन वर्षे सत्तीने सैनिकी शिक्षण दिले जाते.

My father was in the Navy during WWII I have his flag and pictures he took while there. He was a young man of 18 when he fought for our protection and safety. He had nightmares until the day he died. Our young men and women are keeping a lot of ungrateful people safe and free. Freedom is not free it has costs lives for centuries and will continue doing so. Our veterans deserve our gratitude. I for one am thankful for what my father had to do, and I am sorry anyone has to go through war of any kind.
Not only veterans day. Remember and appreciate your freedom that they pay for. Premadonnas this means you.

Thank you to my many fellow veterans that have served to keep our nation free and strong. Many of our veterans suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) as I do. My PTSD was so bad that I wouldn't leave the house, I wouldn't even go outside until I was lucky enough to have been paired with a service dog from Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs (http://www.MedicalServiceDogs.com). Since I have gotten Wilson I have also gotten my life back. There are thousands of veterans out there...

The suicide and divorce rate for our veterans is the highest it has ever been in history and many do not get the help they so desperately need until it is too late. I only hope we can get enough service dogs trained and then paired with our veterans to eliminate veteran suicide and to give so many their life back.
