‘Consumers have a right to know the brutal truth that Cadbury’s would rather keep quiet, how dairy products are produced.'

We the undersigned are appalled at the horrific animal cruelty that is going on at the Bristol Farm which supplies the milk in which you buy and then use to make your chocolate and other products!
By buying from this Farm you are sending out a clear statement to the general public that CADBURY is a company that condones animal cruelty towards many innocent animals, and this must stop!
Animal rights campaigners have claimed dairy calves only days old are being shot to feed hunt hounds.
Undercover footage by campaigners shows a young male being shot in the head as it stands on a pile of calf carcasses in a trailer.
The farm in Bristol shown in the film supplies milk to Cadbury, which makes 250million bars of chocolate each year.
Please CADBURY take a strong stance now and DEMAND that this Farm ends its cruelty, otherwise CADBURY will stop buying their milk from this Farm and look elsewhere.
Sincerely...

'Consumers have a right to know the brutal truth that Cadbury's would rather keep quiet, how dairy products are produced...
Dairy cows must be impregnated yearly to produce milk for human consumption but many of the male calves born are deemed surplus as demand for veal is limited.
They are shot soon after birth and turned into pet food or other low-value products.

Farm that sells milk to Cadbury 'shoots male calves to feed hunt hounds'.
Campaigners' undercover footage shows shooting.

Had no idea about Cadbury.....will NEVER buy their product again.

While the writer's heart is in the right place, focussing on Cadbury as an evil doer is disingenuous. The issue noted above is common to dairies on both sides of the Atlantic, and probably everywhere else, with the exception of third world countries where male cows and oxen are often utilized as work animals. But even in the third world, many owners cannot afford to feed and raise male cows. In those countries , there is usually a market for beef, and that is where all other male cows go....

The ultimate problem is so obvious I wont insult the intelligence of the readers by noting it here. Meanwhile, if we truly feel strongly about this issue, we can swear off eating Chocolate until we find candy makers that can prove they utilize milk from cruelty free dairies -that can prove they don't make it a practice to kill male calves- which will probably be next to impossible.

Yes, i can see the point you are making here Robert. I know that this cruelty goes on everywhere and if i could highlight ALL of the cruelty places i truly would. I just had a piece of chocolate this morning, it didnt taste the same, it felt disgusting in my mouth. I for one am not going to eat or buy Cadbury chocolate anymore. Others will make their own choices. I know that chocolate making will never cease, demand for it is too strong. However...we can start making a noise and telling these companies to not support cruelty, and buy milk (of they must) from more humane farms (if there are such places?)....! Hugs to you..:)

It's not bad enough that we exploit animals for milk, fur, skin, teeth, horns, and whatever else man uses to make $$$$. But why torture them? What is the purpose when they already live the most miserable existence on earth that is possible as we take their lives slowly. This goes to show you how diabolical humans are....People should be severly punished and lose their jobs for this. Land O Lakes is just as bad, but you never hear that either. I boycott all companies who test, and I boycott...

I boycott all companies who test, and I boycott all companies who use cruelty on animals. You should do the same - in the end - it hurts their pockets, and you will see how they will listen! United we stand for animals.
