I used to be anti-gay. I served with the U.S. Marines for 5 1/2 years. I was a grunt (infantry)I worked under the command of a great leader. He led his Marines very well and cared for our wellbeing. I had no idea he was gay until he came out(not an easy thing to do) in front of our whole company of "alpha male" Marines. I was blown away! That took courage. It became clear to me that it really doesn't matter who you love, or what you do in your own free time, its all about who you are as a...

I am not gay, but I support the rights of everyone to be who they want to be. I guess I'm gay...for human rights and equality. =]

The Apostle Paul is appropriately describing homosexual behavior by heterosexual men in the Greek culture of first century Palestine. And in this context what he is describing is mostly certainly: sinful. What Paul, nor Jesus, nor any writer of any part of the Bible ever describes is appropriate behavior by persons born with a homosexual orientation. Those of us who are serious about applying Biblical principles to modern life need to be loving and caring and encourage faithful, monogamous, committed relationships for our brothers and sisters who came into this life with a homosexual orientation - rather than misinterpreting the Bible to mask our fear.

Walter Roski Translation is everything; the bible references Male Pagan Temple Prostitution NOT a committed gay relationship.

I am gay and although the UK is quite privileged in our gay freedom, it is a shame for the people in countries like Uganda where they fear the very thing they are born as. WHY? Is freedom not one of human's greatest gifts. I am spiritual and believe on treating people how I wish to be treated, but I guess most of humanity lost that trait. Rant over, go Gay Rights.

Well said that man :)

@Davey, I am so grateful that our son was born at the right time, we have a gay friend and the horrors he went through whilst growing up are enough to break your heart. I am in the UK, thank God.

There is no experience like shopping with a gay man who knows you well. Fantabulosa!

I don't understand why some people are so against difference, what is their problem? I find it faintly disgusting that they can be so judgemental.

To Caleb wiegman,ur rite I give u credit for what u wrote, iam straight but I cannot judge others,I do have knowledge that Jesus said whoever is not a sinner throw the first rock, let them be judge by god not us so my opinion is live an let live I have a son that's gay an I won't turn my back on any gay one of my best friend in my past was gay an some are very honest.

I agree, you can live and let live and not persecute others for their sins when we still have sinned ourselves. However, it doesn't mean that we have to actively support the living in that sin - of others or our own. God tells us to come as we are, and so is the same way that we should welcome others. Saying, come as you are, doesn't condone that sin - it provides Grace for that sin just as God has given us Grace. I have many friends who are homosexual and I love them so much but I do not support their way of life as I believe it is contrary to God's will, just as my sexual desires towards men are also contrary to that will - outside of marriage. For all of the above reasons, I cannot actively support gay marriage, for example but it doesn't mean that I would reject or refuse to love someone who is gay. My friends understand and accept my view and we get along great and of course you shouldn't abandon your son, God didn't abondon us :)

Something that does not exist, has never existed, and will never exist cannot have a will. There will be no religious beliefs, input, or laws preventing people to be free or live how they want to live because of a religious belief! You're born gay, lesbian, bisexual, and you're born to your own sexuality orientation. You can be born with a vagina, but know inside you're a man. It's simple.

I HAVE MANY GAY FRIENDS. THEY ARE TRUE, HONEST, LOVING AND CARING. I LOVE THEM WITH ALL MY HEART. GOD BLESS THEM.

Chantelle Taylor Beyers

Me too! Love them all!

Gay rights are simply basic human rights. I don't understand the problem with receiving the same basic rights as everyone else. The so-called religious right seems to forget "judge not, lest yes be judged." Or does it not apply to them?

Well said, Sherri.

bravo ,
lucky you there..,.

Absolutely, equality for all.

You can be gay if you want to that your right but asking to change a biblical law to marry, you don't have that right.

Samuel Edward Jones Jr.

What, biblical law, havent we as a whole havent broken.

I am a lesbian and I believe! Equality for the LGBT community! :)
