Animal cruelty is defined as behaviours that are harmful to animals and can range from neglect to malicious killing. Animal cruelty can be one of the earliest indicators that an individual is developing a dangerous pattern of seeking power and control by inflicting suffering on others. It is important to provide children with the opportunity to understand and witness the plight of both domestic and wild animals.

I firmly beleive this would really work towards the prevention of animal cruelty & teaching children from a young age that animals are to be loved & looked after as they do us!! Its about time more was done for animals...

Lets teach the children how to look after animals and not to be cruel.Perhaps they may grow up to be a better person.

Children should be shown how to take care of living things. This gives them a understanding of living with each otherand Caring and Sharing making this a better world to live in. We should teach our young children and all children Animal Welfare.. Please put it on the National Curriculum.

amen to that!!..xo..:)

animals are living creatures, that needed to be treated with rightful respect.

I could not even imagine what kind of human could hurt babies and animals.
They are just down right scum.

MUCH NEEDED

they already do this at my son's school, brilliant idea- if you get them young it will be instilled into them for life and hopefully in the future we will have many more caring and loving people and less of the disturbing stories we hear almost daily about the cruelty an animal has had to suffer.

it wouldn't be a bad thing to teach kids when they're young about empathy towards animals and that there are consequences in harming and neglecting them.
