New Jersey Housewives and 9/11 Charity Day for Alzheimer’s

We just had the honor of being represented by Bravo's the Real Housewives of New Jersey Caroline Manzo, with her three children: Albie, Christopher, and Lauren as well as Jacqueline Laurita with her husband Chris for Charity Day!

9/11 Charity Day was created as Cantor Fitzgerald re-built following the World Trade Center attacks. Cantor lost 658 employees on 9/11 – more than two thirds of its New York workforce at the time. Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliate, BGC Partners, hold Charity Day each year to commemorate those who perished by donating their global revenues on the day to charities around the world.

Bravo's the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita took part in real trades with financial institutions, guided by a broker, by speaking with clients over the phone today at Cantor Fitzgerald's office in New York City. They brought energy and excitement to the trading floor.

We are thankful for their efforts to raise funds for the battle against Alzheimer's disease and for joining us in helping to make 9/11/2012 a truly positive day.

My name is Lisa O'Brien, I have a father in the last stages of Alzheimer's. He is 75 years old and was diagnosed at 65. We need to get the word out about this horrible disease and find a cure. This is hard on the person in the beginning stages, but even harder on the loved ones around them. I lost my mom this year, she had dementia from a brain injury. I love my parents and miss them even though my dad isn't gone. I don't wish this on anyone or their family. Lets all work together and get the word out! Raise money, do the walks, whatever it takes.

This was my dad and I on my parents 44th wedding anniversary. I brought them a cake and spent some time with them. This year would of been their 46th wedding anniversary, but my mother passed away in February.
