JOIN 5-TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNER EDWIN HAWKINS IN HIS APPEAL TO RAISE FUNDS FOR "CASA AMADOR" - a 27-bed facility for homeless mothers and their children, scheduled to begin construction, in Los Angeles, on March 1, 2013.
With Edwin's help we are making an urgent "People In Need" appeal to raise funds for affordable housing, counseling and job training for a growing population of homeless mothers and their children - who spend their nights hungry, alone and vulnerable on the streets of Los Angeles.
HELP US RAISE $600,000 - for project "CASA AMADOR" RIGHT NOW!
Our People In Need (PIN) partner, Venice-based Reach For The Top, Inc., is a community-based 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization providing housing for homeless men, women, and children in the Los Angeles area since 2005.
Reach For The Top is developing an eco-sustainable, mixed use, transitional housing facility, named "CASA AMADOR", to house homeless mothers and their children in Los Angeles.
"Across the country, women and children are the fastest-growing segment of the homeless population. And ...shelters across the state have... only enough beds for a small fraction of the dispossessed..." (National Alliance for Homelessness)
