we need support for our campain against the proposed cancellation of the X19 bus service from Falkirk to Edinburgh via Grangemouth and Bo'ness which is many people only form of transport to work
Many thanks to all who signed our petition against the cancellation of the X19 bus service. Today Falkirk Council gave our service and five others a reprieve until March 2013. You can see their press release on their website or via Falkirk Herald, BBC or STV news sites.
The fight now goes on to retain these services for the good of Bo'ness, its continuing development and better job opportunies etc.
We do not know what our next move will be but I would urge you to use our service to ensure its continuation beyond March 2013.

This is outrageous a town with a population of 15,000 and no link to the nearest city. The bus service as it stands at the moment is unbelievable with a bus every 2 or 3 hours to Edinburgh during the day. No service at night and no service at night from Linlithgow. No other town would put up with this. We need to make sure the Bo'ness people fight this cause.
They should be doing the opposite if they ran more buses each day I know me and me friends would use it more often. It costs far to much having to get the train then a taxi just to get to bo'ness!
Totally agree Helen , the service frequency is shocking so its hardly a surprise that people dont use it
As an aside - there is a main line station at Linlithgow and in any other European country I have visited there would be a regular ( half hourly) connecting a town the size of Boness with it. How can people be expected use public transport if there is no connectivity - this is 2012 it cant be beyond the wit of transport planners to make this a reality
would just like to thank everyone who has signed, and help is appreciated.
done it m8 x
done ;) x
Wish I had the time to knock on every door in Bo'ness to get people to sign Maybe there could be a petition left at Tesco and Lidl
ahem!!! u do have the time lol xx
Done it James Learmonth :)
not yet lol
No wonder everyone in Bo'ness has 2 cars parked outside their house, there's just no other way to commute or get around your daily business.
Ridiculous that they can cut off a town in such a way! This the only direct link to the city where a number of the residents of Bo'ness work.
When it comes to stuffing up transport this town excels!
This is an outrageous situation, how can they justify stopping this service?
