time to open some wallets and help make a change

Time for a Change-

Thank you for the support of "A Real Man Never Hits a Woman" over the past year I have read hundreds of emails and letters of women and some men sharing their stories of abuse and sometimes death of a loved one. I see the posting of members who support this cause and say things should change. Laws should be changed — well it is TIME FOR A CHANGE!
We have over 3.6 million members and many ask how can I help? Many say I wish I could do more but in tough economic times I cannot. Well, think about this? How much do you spend a day on cigarettes, expensive coffee, smart phone? The daily lunch through the drive through that you always say you want to cut back because it adds up over the course of a week?
I am asking the millions of members and friends to donate $1.50 — imagine $1.50! I bet you have that in loose change in the bottom of your purse, top of your dresser or somewhere in your car.
Getting our voices out there on domestic abuse does come with a price and $1.50 is not asking much. I have donated so that our loved ones and ones we will never meet will not be silent.

Just do the math - 8 x $1.50 = •$12 helps a survivor obtain a copy of her child's birth certificate, necessary for accessing government assistance or transferring children across state lines to remove them from an abuser
