PetSmart Charities is funding a new program called Fostering 4 Rock Stars that aims to double the number of kittens that animal welfare groups can save. The program, which is managed by the Cat Adoption Team, advocates for pre-adopting kittens before they're spayed or neutered. I have lill fly my uk rescue and Domino on the way from Soi dog in Thailand.
my adopted dog is wonderful. I wont purchase a dog again after rescuing my dog from an overcrowded shelter. so many are disposed of due to overcrowding. unless you want a purebred for a show dog, there's no reason not to adopt!
I WILL, if there is a breed in particular I am after, pay for one with papers however, I wouldn't show it and unless there were people wanting a pup or a kitten, wouldn't have any intention of breeding. I don't think it is fair to breed a predigree animal if the reason behind it is to profit - it's not fair on the animal. We are not expected to so why should we expect our pets to? :) And I would STILL adopt a homeless animal too. :) I think it depends on the circumstances and what you are after. :) SO glad your dog has found a good home with you. :) We need more people in the world like you. :)
An I would only breed for friends and family and GIVE the puppy NOT sell. :)
I have been taking care of 13 cats outside which were abused and left to starve, 4 disabled kittens inside, 4 dogs which were abused, and we love each and everyone of them.
We adopted our last one, a very abused female Boxer from a puppy mill breakup. She has been one of the sweetest, loving and appreciative dogs that we've ever had.

two of my pets are rescues my first is buddy the ferret I rescued him from an abusive home and my second we took in when we were getting food one day some guy started talking to my husband and id that he was getting rid of a maine coon siamese mix and if no one wanted him he was going to just leave him outside and its the beginning of winter so we said we take him what a surprise when me found out that he was all black but since we brought him home a month ago smokey has been the most...

I have never ever in my life bought a dog unless it was a rescue dog. Just because I am a rescued person.
just a thought why not start a pet aid like they do for people so these animals don't have to be put to sleep I live in york england they don't put animals to sleep here at thhe rspca I'm sure that a lot of big stars would help to bring this idea to life if anyone has conetions and the resorses to get it started.
I have the heart, the compassion and the will but not so much the connections or the money. I have been actively taking care of animals for the last 25 years which has left me with little time for anything else like funding raising, etc. I like your comment because it's true that the only way we can put an end to all this domestic animal suffering is by working for their well being TOGETHER!
Nearly all of the dogs I've had in the last 30 years were adopted / rescued from the Animal Shelter. They are the most loving, adorable, faithful, happy dogs, and bring so much joy to our home. Not a day goes by when I don't hug my 2 dogs and think of what might have happened had they not been rescued. Go there first, and save an innocent animal's life!
