Pledge to help make hunger history! Join Save the Children's Fastathon 2012. On Thursday, August 23 thousands of caring people like you will be fasting voluntarily and raising funds to support more than 1 million children suffering from the hunger crisis in West Africa.
There are many ways you can get involved on August 23:
• Skip a snack or a cup of coffee
• Miss a meal
• Fast* for 24 hours (starting at 9AM EDT)
• Take part in the interactive live video stream from West Africa at 1:30PM EDT. Submit a question at #fastathon on Twitter or email fastathon@savechildren.org and have it answered on the live stream! Tune in here: http://bit.ly/Fundraise-Fastathon.
• Start your own fundraising team or make a donation here: http://bit.ly/Fundraise-Fastathon. By raising at least $100 you can help us reach our goal – $100,000 for the children and families in West Africa who are fasting involuntarily.

Fasting on Thursday..
How much of these contributions really go to feed the children? Find the Nigerians that come to the USA and try to scam many people with their offers of "found monies".. Let them start supporting their nation!
I watched a tv show that said, the Nigerians scam over 9 million dollars a month, on telephone scams.............
We fight fights that are not ours to our children friends neighbors family members loved ones have and still in some way shape or form fought wars that those who should have never lifted a finger but when it comes to us helping feed hungry babies/children families we have a problem? And to those who think it is just so you know Africa is not the only country where babies and children suffer everyday from malnutrition/hunger... With that said truth be told, I'm not getting this at all. How...

I support many organizations and have for years thanks to the Lord for not just granting/giving us what we need but giving when we need it m most thank GOD more than enough. Once again I ask, pray those who can which are MANY stop it with the excuses and be a part of the solution not the never ending on going problem. Prayers as always go up... We look @ the pictures say OMG how awful poor babies how'd we like if we were hungry suffering from malnutrition for others to do us like many have. Turning away putting up a deaf ear will not help these children but in some no matter how small way we all can do something. Please help those who can not help themselves. Thanks in advance and know God rewards and smiles on a cheerful giver one that gives and gives and gives out of love seeking nothing in return.
