The Flu Shot Project

For most of us the flu is unpleasant, very unpleasant. For others it can be fatal.

Every year the seasonal flu kills a few hundred thousand people world wide. Elderly people, infants and people with chronic health conditions are most at risk.

A flu shot helps shield you from the disease, and if you catch it anyway it will be milder. Which is nice, but not the whole story.

A flu shot dramatically reduces your chance of passing on the flu to someone who won't recover in a week or two. You could be saving the life of your grandfather or your best friend's baby daughter.

Please pledge to have your shot this year and every year. You owe it to the people you love and the people they love.

If you want to find out where you can get your flu shot please visit the The American Lung Association's site where you can find locations by zip code: http://www.lung.org/lung-disease/influenza/flu-vaccine-finder/

This Cause is affiliated with the Anti-Anti-Vaccine Campaign, dedicated to crowd-sourcing efforts to discourage the dissemination of anti-vaccine propaganda on Facebook. If you'd like to become involved in countering the opponents of vaccines, please visit the site and take the pledge.
