I pledge to educate myself about the Affordable Care Act.
Take the Pledge23 people took the pledge
In the current debate on healthcare reform there are a lot of statistics and studies; a lot of back and forth about constitutionality and cost, but what is often missing are the stories of everyday people and their personal struggles with finding the healthcare they need. Health & Justice Project is an ongoing effort to share those stories and inspire action on the local and national level.
The project is a collaboration between Jericho Road Family Practice, their sister organization Jericho Road Ministries, and The Recollective, a group of independent producers from around the country. We came together with the common goal that one day all people will enjoy quality, affordable healthcare regardless of their economic status.
Listen to the intro to our first audio series recorded in Buffalo, NY and pledge to educate yourself about the Affordable Care Act. You can learn more about the benefits of ACA from the Kaiser Family Foundation at http://healthreform.kff.org/profiles.aspx.
Then come back each week to listen to more stories, share your own, and participate in the petitions, pledges and other actions we'll be posting in the months and years to come.

Discuss the pledge
The Kaiser Family Foundation site has really got some great information on how different people can benefit from ACA. I was able to find a profile that fit my current lifestyle and that gave me a break down of what I could expect from healthcare reforms.
